What would you do to save democracy?
Maybe you've done a lot already, like being a regular voter, contacting your representatives, or attending protests. Are you willing to do a little more? Would you quit social media?
No, not all social media. Just the ones run by capitalists. You know the ones I'm talking about: Facebook, Youtube, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, and others.
What would you do to save democracy?
There are some wonderful alternatives out there. They are more plentiful now than they ever have been, their numbers are growing, and they're all connected through the Fediverse.
I'm not suggesting Facebook et al are the cause of all the world's problems. But if most of us got off of algorithm-driven, capitalist social media, I think we'd all be a lot better off. Would you give up a few minutes of your time to watch this video?
